There are new offers coming out from the YSP Education team too starting from next term so double check with their website if you might be interested in booking for your school.

Experimental Drawing

Posted by Sarah Jane Mason on Sunday, January 31, 2016, In : Updates
Are you interested in drawing but dread sitting in a silent room with a nude life model and lots of "serious artists" rubbing their chins and peering at their easels?

Then this may be the perfect course for you!

Experimental drawing is a five week course based at Leeds College of Art. The course is workshop based so each week there is something new to explore, new tools to experiment with and new techniques to try out.

Put the fun, curiosity and experience back into your art work!

2015 and Onwards

Posted by Sarah Jane Mason on Friday, February 20, 2015, In : Updates
What's new?

Well more books are coming off the press following a workshop in a Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre in Leeds. The children involved in making the book don't normally get access to additional provisions such as artists, swimming lessons, library visits and other trips.

As such, this was a fantastic opportunity for them to work with someone outside of their schools staff in a creative and experimental way - working in a sensory manner with a variety of Arts materials. After a nu...

Starting Soon: Adult Art Group

Posted by Sarah Jane Mason on Saturday, February 8, 2014, In : Updates
What exciting news! I am starting an adults only art group. So get those kids in bed, park your partner in front of the box and hot foot it down to the fully equipped studio at ArtBugs for a fantastic evening.

All sessions are artist led by myself, but this is not about learning how to paint a certain way or everyone producing the same type of tapestry!

This is sooooo much more fun than that!

Come along for a chance to explore materials, create anything you desire, develop skills if you wish, ...

February Already...

Posted by Sarah Jane Mason on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, In : Updates
... Just where has the time gone!?

Well for my good self, I've spent January recharging my batteries ready for the year ahead and what better place to do this in than the sunny beaches of Goa. The relaxed tempo and chilled out way of life among the Goans really rubbed off on me and I felt myself truly unwind. Even more importantly I was TOTALLY inspired by the many sights of beauty, the endless sunshine and the smiles of the locals despite the ugliness of life for many natives. I spent the who...
