Today is the first day of a 10 week programme of workshops to create stage set pieces for a multi-disciplinary Arts project based around the Olympic Spirit. The results of this alongside a selection of other workshops, programmes and events will be showcased at A Recipe for Life on 7th July at the West Yorkshire Playhouse's Courtyard theatre.

KS2 pupils at Allerton C of E Primary School have already begun creating dance moves and writing lyrics for the performance with fellow artists on the project, Stella Georgiou, Rob Green and Gee Goodison. I am hoping to draw inspiration from both these elements in addition to the Olympic theme to design the stage set.

The 3D workshops will start with a single taster session so the pupils can have a go at making something quite simple and quick to complete, allowing them to get the hang of basic 3D skills. The aim is that all pupils will leave with a completed piece of 3D figure work by the end of the session.
