Hi there,

After thinking about this for a while I should have probably posted this before the event so you could come along, apologies if you missed it!

This Sunday (26th September 2010) I took over the downstairs rooms of Simon Stephenson's beautiful mid terrace in Headingley to display a selection of my artwork, jewllery and merchandise. Approximately 30 works of painting and releif sculpture were exhibitied on the walls with a wide selection of jewellery and postcards for sale on tables.

I had a fantastic (if cold) day with bunting and networking galore!! I met some fantastic practitioners and spent pretty much everything I made on their amazing work!!! Also, I felt part of an artistic community working together to create a family friendly community event.

Thank you goes to:

John for being a star, doing all the lugging about and donkey work and chauffering me about for the day. I couldn't have done it without you.

A massive thank you to Simon for lending me his walls for the day, providing me with plenty of tea and coffee and offering me some of his gorgeous tree wallpaper to display my relief sculptures on in the future!

Also a massive thank you to everyone who supported me that day, either dropping in for a quick hello or buying jewellery and paintings as gifts or as treat for themselves. It is your positive feedback and uplifting comments that truly made the day for me.

As we all know, it is a hard time to be a creative practitioner and it is easy to become disillusioned and downhearted with regards ones work. Participating in this day truly made me appreciate what I have and gave me tips on how to move forward.

For images of the day please see the 'project' tab on my website where pictures will be added within the next couple of days.
