Yesterday, marked the end of Saltaire's first stand alone Arts Trail and it has been the busiest trail yet with thousands of visitors to the village. There were twelve open houses, children's activities and a fantastic makers fair.

Our house has had a constant stream of visitors throughout the weekend, with steady sales and fantastic feedback from a variety of audiences.

I would like to say a big thank you to Jill Smith and Laura Slater for exhibiting so beautifully at my house and for bring around to man the decks so we could all get out and have a look around at what other people were getting up to.

Also, massive thanks to John for allowing me to open our house to the general public and for all of the tea mkaing, jacket potato cooking and general support he has leant over the past four days.

Lastly, thanks to my parents for coming along and helping John  to open the house for the preview event on Friday. We couldn't have done it without you, so massive thanks for rushing down from Chesterfield after work!

I have to be honest, today our front room looks bare and feels too quiet after four days of becoming a mini gallery. I'm already missing Jill's quirky scouts, peeking out from behind the curtain and Laura's 50's retro cushions scattered across the sofa.

Ah well, just another year to go and I will be offering to do it all again!
