British Art Show 8

November 16, 2015
As some are already aware I tutor at Leeds College of Art on both the short courses for adults and also the Young Creatives programme which is all about getting young people into the college to take advantage of the amazing resources there including equipment, materials, studio spaces and staff!!

In my role as Young Creatives tutor, I am working with Amanda Phillips at Leeds Art Gallery to deliver a fantastic pair of workshops that explore the exciting exhibition of contemporary art, British Art Show 8, currently hosted by Leeds Art Gallery.

Workshops are aimed at 7-18 year olds and are free - all you need to bring is a snack, a drink and an open and creative mind. Workshop 1 is on 21st November and will be based at Leeds Art Gallery. Workshop 2 is on 28th November and is based at Leeds College of Art. Both sessions run from 1:15pm - 3:45pm and did I mention they are free!!!

Places are limited so don't delay follow this link to find out more and book your places: http://www.leeds-art.ac.uk/study/young-creatives/general-art-design/british-art-show-8-workshops/

2015 and Onwards

February 20, 2015
What's new?

Well more books are coming off the press following a workshop in a Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre in Leeds. The children involved in making the book don't normally get access to additional provisions such as artists, swimming lessons, library visits and other trips.

Next Generation Publications is a publishing house with a difference - we are interested in books that are created by and for children and young people.

And the even more exciting news is that before our official launch we have already published some beautiful books with groups in Bradford and Leeds - some in association with Artforms at Leeds City Council as part of the Let's Make Book's pro...

The Big Draw & Let's Make Books

This month two major arts campaigns are joining forces to create an even more exciting project than ever before!

Early on in the project Alison mentioned The Big Draw and asked if I'd like to get involved and link it with the Let's make Bo...
