Pafos Capital of Culture 2017

March 29, 2017

This year Pafos is European Capital of Culture 2017. As an artist who has been regularly visiting the Pafos region for over 15 years now I am honored to be able to announce that I am having a show at Cyprus College of Art as part of Pafos 2017.

The Lempa Link explores my relationship with the area and the many other artists and creatives that pass through - many of which call Lempa a second home. Also exhibiting as part of the show are Grahame Parry, Stass Paraskos, Kenneth G. Hay, Josef Danek and Margaret Paraskos - these are all artists who I have met in Lempa and have had a dramatic impact on my development as an artist and educator.

To me Lempa is Creative Paradise and I am excited to share my passion with others through this show.

The Lempa Link will run from 10th - 23rd April 2017 and is based at Cyprus College of Art, 6 Stass Paraskos Street, Lempa.

New Beginnings

March 29, 2017

Spring is the time for new beginnings, so what better time to start my Artist Educator role at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park!

I am really excited to be part of a growing team of professional Artist Educators who deliver workshops, tours and one off activities for schools - including pupils and teachers.

There are new offers coming out from the YSP Education team too starting from next term so double check with their website if you might be interested in booking for your school.

April 15, 2016
I'm just back from a two week residency at Cyprus College of Art in Lemba where I created a variety of paintings and drawings all inspired by the surroundings of the college site. Surroundings include the sculptural wall that surrounds the college as well as natural cacti, spring time flowers and dazzling bright white light.

Everyday Stories Published

March 9, 2016
Now available in print - this fantastic journal documenting the creative process of the Everyday Stories Project at Archway.

This book has been published by my sister business Next Generation Publications and as such is also in part of the British libraries collection - such a huge achievement for all of those involved.

Well done everyone and here's hoping we can run more projects both at Archway and also around the Leeds/West Yorkshire area.

January 31, 2016

Then this may be the perfect course for you!

Experimental drawing is a five week course based at Leeds College of Art. The course is workshop based so each week there is something new to explore, new tools to experiment with and new techniques to try out.
